There was something special about Valeria & Grayson the moment we spoke during our chemistry call. Perhaps it was the fact that there were SO many similarities between us or that Valeria & Grayson were a top notch couple right from the beginning! The vibes were just vibin’! When Valeria reached out to let me know she was all in on planning her wedding (in less than 3 months) and wanted to secure me as her coordinator I was SO EXCITED. 

The Whitehurst Gallery was the PERFECT setting to host their intimate wedding. Griffeth and the entire team at The Whitehurst Gallery far exceeded any and all of our expectations. I had asked Valeria what she was looking for in a venue and what it was that attracted her to The Whitehurst Gallery and she said, “In my area there are usual two types of weddings, beach and barn. I knew I wanted something different but didn’t want to spend a fortune and didn’t want to make my family travel since it was on short notice. I love the bright, classic, homey feel of this venue. It was so elegant and unique. I could immediately picture myself getting married on the steps.”

Valeria secured Sara Duvall Artistry for her beauty services. We’ve had fantastic experiences in the past with Sara and it was a joy to work with her again to create Valeria’s classic & stylish look. “I wanted something classic and sleek. I was wearing a strapless dress so I knew that wanted it down to balance it out. After my trial, my hair and makeup team told me this is their favorite look for brunettes since it shows a lot of contrast and movement. Many styles with a lot texture only pop on blonde or lighter hair colors. For makeup, I usually wear very bronzy light weight makeup. I wanted the makeup to feel like myself so we did a glam version of my everyday look; lots of blush and bronzy eyes. I couldn’t stand strip lashes, and lash extensions didn’t feel right to me so I opted for purchasing long lasting cluster lashes (like Pro Lash) which were so much more comfortable!”

Valeria & Grayson’s theme and wedding design inspiration is best described as “summer garden, pastel wildflower, Bridgerton inspired.” The colors were very complimentary to The Whitehurst Gallery & the summer season. Their design felt bright, cheerful and organic.

As mentioned, there is something so special about Valeria & Grayson. When couples are able to let down their walls and trust their wedding planner MAGIC can happen. 

“I wanted to feel like someone understood our journey and what was important to us. Having worked in the wedding/event industry we have work with some incredible planners and unfortunately some that were not as great. That being said, I wanted someone who was as detail oriented as I was, if not more. I was under the impression that I could handle the majority of the the event myself but once I met Brittany, we clicked. She brought question and ideas up that I had never considered and made me realize that she would be filling in every gap and taking this event to the next level. With my event being so short notice (less than 3 months of planning) I was afraid it would feel thrown together. I tear up every time I think about my weddingday now because of how perfect it was and that we actually got to enjoy it instead of worrying about every day-of detail. We definitely made the right decision.”

Valeria & Grayson secured one of our preferred DJs DJ LMO. This man knows how to throw a party, keep people on the dance floor yet is organized and professional. He knows his stuff! “

We had almost book with a family friend but then received a recommendation from our coordinator. There was a night and day difference between the two. The DJ we were recommended was much more organized, came with MANY positive reviews, and add ons which felt like a great value to us.”

It’s so important to hire quality vendors you can trust which gives you the opportunity be present with your friends and family members on your wedding day. I asked Valeria the day after their wedding what their favorite part of the wedding day was and she said, “getting to sit back and watch our guests dance the night away.”
